Your story was beautiful, I would love to live like that, pulling food from various parts of my backyard to bring together a meal. Thank you sharing!

Curious, what do your sister and brother-in-law think about how we eat in the U.S.?

They have had no experience in the U.S. I think their only exposure to American food has been when I cooked for them when I lived there - and I tried my best!

You are so right. We are fortunate to live in an area of the country that makes eating locally grown foods easy. I can't imagine otherwise now. Your feast is simply splendid. It's so vibrantly colorful and fresh. And many thanks for the link. Enjoy your holiday weekend!

What a beautiful feast and a lovely post! We're working hard to create an edible back yard, though it will take a couple years to fully achieve that status. Don't have enough room for a stocked pond, but it would be tempting.
